Slot Canyons, Utah.
Evidence from the most recent flash flood is jammed near the top of the slot canyon, leaving behind a chilling reminder. Flash floods produce raging torrents that rip through canyons, sweeping away everything in their path.
A Slot Canyon is a narrow canyon with sheer vertical walls, sometimes hundreds of feet deep and only a few feet wide, formed by erosion.
This region was originally inhabited by the Paiute and Pueblos peoples. 10% of profits from the sale of this photograph will benefit the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center.
