Garden of the Gods, Colorado.
A winter dusting of snow details a popular orange sandstone rock formation named North Gateway Rock in Garden of the Gods National Landmark. Roughly 65 million years ago, as tectonic plates collided, overlying layers of sedimentary rock were forced upwards creating the iconic sandstone formations we see today.
This region was originally inhabited by the Ute and Cheyenne peoples. 10% of profits from the sale of this photograph will benefit the Native American Rights Fund.
